RTX 5060 TI…
Nvidia has officially launched the RTX 5060 Ti, with the 16GB version priced at $429 MSRP. Reviewers at PCWorld tested this version, as Nvidia didn’t send out any 8GB review units, which may be harder to find on shelves.
In benchmark tests, the 5060 Ti 16GB showed 8–32% performance gains over the previous generation (RTX 4060 Ti 16GB), especially in 1080p raster-based gaming. While it doesn’t consistently beat AMD’s Radeon 7700 XT, it does in certain titles like Rainbow Six Siegeand Shadow of the Tomb Raider. With ray tracing, the card also outperforms the 4060 Ti by 10–20%, with even more gains in ray-tracing-heavy games like Black Myth Wukong.
In Cyberpunk 2077, the 5060 Ti saw:
• 32% gain in raster performance
• 14% improvement in path tracing with DLSS
• 2x+ boost with Nvidia’s frame generation, especially when taking advantage of the newer x4 frame gen support (compared to x2 on 4060 Ti)
AI and video editing tasks showed a 15–20% performance increase, and power consumption remains efficient—similar to the 4060 Ti and lower than AMD’s competing card.
However, pricing volatility remains a concern due to US-China trade tensions, and upcoming, potentially cheaper models (RTX 5060 non-Ti at $300, and 5060 Ti 8GB at $380) might offer better value.
TL;DR: The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is a strong performer, especially over its predecessor, but pricing and availability—especially for the 8GB model—are uncertain.
