Windows 10

There are two different versions of Windows 10, Home and Professional. In this blog post we will go over the main differences that they have.

Windows 10 Home has all the standard features of windows 10 and is the entry level operating system for the current version of windows as of January 2020. It includes very many upgrades from the previous versions such as a great security program know as Windows Security which includes anti-virus protection, Firewall status, and device health. Windows 10 Home also has new security features built in such as Fingerprint, passcode, password, and windows hello which uses facial recognition. Windows 10 Home also includes automatic driver and software installation which previous versions did not typically.

Windows 10 Pro includes all these and other features geared to businesses. Encryption is included for businesses and individuals looking to have added security to their machines. Domain joining for users to connect to their server. Remote Desktop is included as well. There are a few other features that many won’t use on a daily basis.

With Windows 7 no longer being support after January 14th you must run Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 version 1903 or later. Windows 10 is said to be the final operating system that Microsoft releases. Currently Windows 10 receives 2 major updates a year. Microsoft just changed how these updates are geared. In April of each year you will get a major update and in October of each year you will get improvements to those updates as well as windows 10 as a whole. If you are still on the fence about upgrading to windows 10 just know running a outdated operation system and being connected to the internet is a big problem. By just being online with an outdated operating system you can become infected with all sorts of viruses or even ransomware which encrypts your information and hold the key for a ransom.
